We are looking for experienced professional Superintendents for Federal projects in the Hampton Roads area.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Manages the Quality Control staff and all specialty subcontractor inspection entities to ensure all disciplines are in compliance with applicable MIG GOV/owner/architect and government specifications, codes, regulations, and requirements, while ensuring the quality standards established in the contract are met.
  • Functions as the primary point of contact and liaison with the Owner (private or federal) for all quality control related issues.
  • Implements and/or manages the keeping of all quality control records and ensures that required reporting is maintained.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates (preparatory, initial and follow-up) to ensure that all required audits/inspections are performed and documented.
  • Able to define corrective measures for problem areas.
  • Reports results to the respective Project Manager, Engineering Technician, Contract Manager in an expeditious manner and acts as catalyst for follow-up corrective actions and re-inspection when deficiencies are discovered.
  • Assists Quality Control Manager and Project Manager to implement and aggressively enforce safety program and practices to create a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Performs additional assignments as directed by supervisors or as assumed through personal initiative.
  • Employee audits during material receipt, fabrication and installation verifying company QC processes and procedures are followed, developing employee training and development of quality improvement initiatives as detailed in project plans and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Required Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QC Representative/Superintendent on Federal Installations – experience with NAVFAC preferred.
  • Must be familiar with EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability.
  • Must be able and willing to pass a background check for work on Federal Installations
  • Training/Education related to process system Quality Control.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and all necessary certifications for working on a government base.
  • Minimum of 5 years construction experience desired
  • Superior knowledge of quality control program components, building codes and technical standards.
  • Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Complete understanding of safety practices and standards within EM385
  • Capable of planning and coordinating the activities of others with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of company’s computer system and software applications preferred, specifically Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat DC.

We are looking for experienced Construction Project Manager (PM) candidates to join our team. PM’s are responsible for leading all aspects and phases of a project from conceptual design to final completion in support of MIG GOV’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Local candidates will be considered, though relocation or travel to on-site project management will be required for the PM position. Projects will be located in Virginia Beach, Washington DC, Maryland, and South Carolina.

– A BA/BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.

– Four or more years experience or equivalent in FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION project management required. Self-Starting, motivated and detailed oriented candidate desired.

– Six or more years or equivalent work experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or equivalent in the construction industry required. Work experience in the design-build industry desired.

– Computer literacy (Microsoft Office 365, Internet, etc.) required.

– Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Procore ) preferred.

– CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can be provided. STS certification preferred.

– LEED GA Credential or AP/AP+ preferred.

We are looking for experienced professional Project Manager Assistants.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provides dedicated project and administrative support to multiple project managers.
  • Assist with the preparation, processing, tracking and management of all project documentation. (Subcontracts, submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, etc.)
  • Set up new projects on the construction Shared Network.
  • Organize, file, and maintain project documents.
  • Manage Subcontractor billing process and assist with monthly Owner billing.
  • Coordinate project meetings using TEAMS, attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Prepare close-out documents for distribution to Owner/Client.
  • Occasionally provides coverage for administrative staff, greeting visitors, handling telephones, mail, and staff inquiries and requests.
  • Prepare AP/QC Plans
  • Assist Superintendent with the implementation of this job site procedures, notifications, signage, supplies, and equipment. (Job Boxes)
  • Receive, analyze, and maintain certified payrolls.
  • Assist Accounting to request deficient items from Subcontractors/Suppliers/Owner.
  • Request data from Subcontractors and assemble Operations and Maintenance Manuals and As-Built drawings for the file and distribution to the Owner.
  • At project completion, organize hardcopy project files for archive storage.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse array of assignments and duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and act upon the requirements outlined in agreements and contracts.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.), Adobe, Procore, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft TEAMS.

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing account statements, managing deposits, and resolving bank discrepancies. Maintain an organized record of payments and billing statements for reference and audit purposes to generate reports for management. Construction experience preferred but not necessary.

A Day in The Life of AR Manager

  • Oversee billing operations and processes for collection of account balances, which entails billing for invoiced orders, supporting collection efforts, and reviewing account discrepancies.
